Massive wildfires have destroyed over 1,000 buildings across Los Angeles, including celebrity homes and landmarks. Pacific Palisades, a star-studded neighborhood, saw nearly 12,000 acres consumed. Among the devastated properties were the homes of actors Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, and Billy Crystal.
Brody and Meester, who bought their $6.5 million home in 2019, lost their residence, while Crystal, living there since 1979, expressed heartbreak. Actor James Woods shared harrowing details of evacuating amid an inferno.
Maria Shriver, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Mandy Moore were among 100,000 forced to flee. Shriver called the destruction “devastating,” while Curtis and Moore shared fears of losing their homes. Paris Hilton confirmed her $8.4 million Malibu mansion was lost, describing the experience as “heartbreaking beyond words.”
In Hollywood Hills, the Sunset Fire threatened landmarks like the Dolby Theater and Walk of Fame, delaying the Critics Choice Awards and Oscar nominations. Production of TV shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live and Grey’s Anatomy was also halted.
Actor Mark Hamill evacuated his Malibu home, calling it the “most horrific” blaze since 1993. He recounted driving through flames to escape.
