Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene announced on Thursday that she will chair a new U.S. House subcommittee focused on government efficiency. The panel, created by House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, will collaborate with billionaire Elon Musk and biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who have been tasked by President-elect Donald Trump to recommend ways to streamline the federal government.

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and Ramaswamy, a former Republican presidential candidate, will lead an advisory panel aimed at reducing the federal workforce and cutting regulations. Greene shared her enthusiasm on X, stating, “I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be chairing a brand new subcommittee to work hand-in-hand with @ElonMusk and @VivekGRamaswamy.”

Trump, Musk, and Ramaswamy have presented bold plans for reform, gaining widespread attention, though specific details remain scarce. In an opinion piece, Musk and Ramaswamy hinted at using recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings to diminish federal agencies’ power. The panel plans to recruit “high IQ” staff and host weekly livestreams to discuss their progress.

Trump has emphasized the importance of their upcoming reports, which are expected to outline strategies for reshaping the federal government and reducing bureaucratic inefficiencies.
